Creating Innovative and Genuine Opportunities for People with Disabilities or Disadvantages to Support Their Community Participation
Personal Options Day Services
Personal Options Day Services provides a participant and his or her team members a menu of employment and activity options in order to design a daily schedule that is best suited to his or her needs. The program can include a combination from the following options:
Employment in the community is available in single-sites and in group settings. Supports are available based on your needs.
Our staff will assist you in setting up a business and provide ongoing support.
Vocational evaluations are available in single-sites or group settings and sites can be arranged based on your interests.
You may elect to fill part of your day as a volunteer.
Available at our Valley Green - Shakopee and MRCI WorkSource-Chaska sites, we offer a variety of contract work.
Living Skills provides participants with an opportunity to experience a topic in depth. The individual is given the opportunity to complete research, take field trips, and experience the topic in a variety of way. For example, one unit covered nutrition. The participants used computers to complete research, completed assignments relating to nutrition, developed menus, shopped for ingredients, and prepared healthy snacks.
Adult Basic Education
Participants can elect to participate in activities at the Community Center, attend recreational and social events, and participate in craft classes or social groups.
