Creating Innovative and Genuine Opportunities for People with Disabilities or Disadvantages to Support Their Community Participation
Letter from the CEO & President
Please Note: This letter appeared in MRCI's Annual Report, which was published in June 2012.
Dear MRCI Partner,
The MRCI experience of 2011 can be described as remarkable in many ways. The adversity we faced during the Minnesota State Government shutdown challenged us in ways we have not experienced before. But the year was also remarkable in its success and achievement despite adversity. As is often the case, difficult challenges bring out the best in us. At MRCI, we weathered the storm and continued to move forward. In the end it was a tremendous year of growth and achievement for the organization and those we serve. We thank our leadership and staff for making sacrifices and holding true to our mission and goals through the difficult times.
MRCI is moving forward with a sense of direction
focused on being the program of choice for those
we serve. We believe that to earn this distinction,
we must be leaders in providing the people we
serve with the least restrictive path to employment
success and personal fulfillment. We create and
support work that provides people with a financial
means and a sense of satisfaction and happiness.
In short, we are working hard to be a great place
to work, a place that people are drawn to find
their path to employment success. As a
team, we are committed to holding these
ideals before us as we move forward.
This annual report celebrates some of
the people who have found their great
place to work. There are many such
stories. We thank all you who have
partnered with us to make this happen.
Without the support of our communities,
we could not achieve our mission. We
consider it a privilege to serve our
clients and work with you!
